Esperanza Bonanza Rodeo

Each year, there is always a great turn out of cowboys and cowgirls from all over the United States to participate in the annual Esperanza Bonanza Festival Rodeo, as well as standing- room only spectators.  Our rodeo is sanctioned through the International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA), and in addition to earning points, winners also receive prize money.

Our rodeo consists of seven events: Saddle Bronc, Bareback Bronc, Bull Riding, Calf Roping, Team Roping, Steer Wrestling, and Cowgirl Barrel Racing.  Prize money added per event is $700 in addition to entry pool.  Total number of places awarded (and prize amounts) will be determined by the number of participants for each event.

Garbage Pick-Up News

There will be no trash pickup on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29th. Monday and Tuesday's trash will be picked up on Tuesday the 30th.

The City of Marion has begun utilizing a one-arm truck for trash pick-up, meaning that cans will be picked up by the arm of the truck.

Residents are asked to take extra care to be sure your garbage can is placed close to the road and out of the way from anything that would block the truck arm movement, including vehicles, mailboxes, etc. Garbage and recycling pick-up schedules remain the same.
